* “Furusato” means hometown. Takase has a furusato
(hometown) atmosphere. Also our Creator and Savior is our
true soul ‘home.’
In
a truly Japanese yet international atmosphere, we seek to
listen to
Jesus’ ‘words of grace’ and praise Him.

Junker,
Minister: I was born in Tokyo to missionaries serving
in Matsumoto, Nagano. After I went to university and
seminary in the USA, I have served in Japan over 20
years as a missionary and English teacher. I also have
taught at Shinshu University. Presently, I with my
wife- Naho & my three children (Joshua, Shane and
Hosahna) serve here in the town of Takase, Mitoyo
City. We started Takase Christ Church about 4 years
ago. Our home and church is in the home of the former
governor Maekawa Tadao of our Kagawa prefecture. He
and his wife also came to follow Christ.
* Our church is an orthodox Christian church and we are not
the Jehovah’s Witnesses (Watch Tower), the Mormon Church or
the Unification Church.
